Peace River Toy Run

Here's an update on our Toy Run

11:00am to 1:30 pm show & shine

2:00pm to 5:00 (apprx) poker rally

We will be ending the poker rally at our local spca where they will have some grub & refreshments available, so we will be contributing to two charities.

We will be set up on mainstreet in the block that houses Subway and Movie Gallery. Access should be available thru alleys on north and south sides of mainstreet

Looking forward to seeing you there, thanks

Air Miles Anyone?
Not enough air miles collected to go on that dream vacation? Wondering what to do with them? Consider donating them to help a teen go on their dream vacation.

WHAT / WHEN:
NAIT Fairview Campus is working with Renee Charbonneau, Coordinator of the Canadian Championship of Bike Building event, Wembley, Alberta this Labour Day weekend, September 2, 3 and 4, 2006.

WHO:
Seven students from the Bernice McHaughton High School Industrial Arts program in Moncton, New Brunswick re-connected with the excitement of learning through “The Bike Club” where they learn how to build “chopper” bicycles. While working hard on their project, they have been dreaming of attending the Bike show; meeting some of their heroes(like Tom Langton of Rumble Customs, Chica of Chica Customs and Heather Ireland of Biker TV) and of becoming motorcycle technicians at Canada’s #1 Motorcycle Technical Training Centre.

HOW:
By donating your air miles, you could help these teens achieve their dream. To find out more about the project, go to www.beltdrivebetty.com and click on the “Pedals to Pegs” link on the left hand side.

For information on how to donate, contact Renee Charbonneau (A.K.A. Belt Drive Betty) at

My last Day with Rocky's Ride for Diabetes

Today is the 9th of July, tomorrow I head home and Rocky's Ride will continue on it's way to Halifax. I have truly enjoyed my time with Lou, Pepe and Maureen and can't wait to share the incredible stories of those with Diabetes that I have had the chance to meet.

The paper comes out again on the 20th, I look forward to sharing all of the wonderful road stories with you all. Check out Rocky's Ride at www.rockysride.com you can get a good idea of the miles, and the people.

If you get a chance, join them for the day, a week or the rest of the ride. You won't regret it - I promise.

I'll sign off for now....
