The Central Alberta Toy Run & Whitecourt's Toy Run

Made it to my friend Barry's place (he's a rider reporter for the Busted Knuckle) here in Blackfalds.

We are getting ready to go shopping for some toys for the Central Alberta Toy Run parade today.

I'll be out covering the events this afternoon at Teepee Village and then getting up bright and early to be in Whitecourt at the IGA for about 11:30 am on Sunday - I hope a few of you join us to help out the kids in our communities.

Fall is in the air and on the radio waves! All of the back to school commercials etc...you know what that means right....another month, month and a half at most and we northern riders will be putting our babies to bed for the win...I am not saying that word yet.

Enjoy it while you can people - that's all I am going to say.

Ride safe everyone and have a wonderful weekend - no matter where you may be riding - ride like they are out to get you!

For those heading to the Boogie Bash or any other run....ride like they are out to get you - because they really are!

Have a great weekend everyone!

Life....

So, our BDB Club Partner - The Nacmine Hotel has closed. Too many thefts and too much vandalism.

Why do some people appear to like destroying other people's property?

The city of Red Deer bought the Arlington Hotel in Red Deer and by the sounds of it - even though designated as historic - the building may be bull dozed.

As many of you may now know, we are planning on printing our western phone book of Rider Friendly Businesses late October - keeping up to date with who closes and who moves is a BIG job!

If you are from Ontario - East and looking to make some extra cash, please get in touch with me. I am looking for sales reps to sell advertising in the Eastern edition of the phone book which goes to print in April!

It's raining and cold here today, I really hope to see the sun shine when I get up tomorrow as I am off the the Central Alberta Toy Run and on the way home I am going to catch the Whitecourt Toy Run.

No matter where your gypsy heart takes you this weekend - PLEASE - ride SAFE.

A question about content

OK gang, I really need some input here.

I get a lot of news feed and wire services news every day.

And every day there are a ton of motorcycle accidents.

Here's the question: Do you want me to include all of the motorcycle accident information that I find? It's a part of this job that makes my heart heavy - posting about crashes and deaths, but, I also understand that there are people who will want to know about them.

It's your news - your web site so you tell me.

Do I post all of the crash and accident news that comes across my desk or not...

If you are riding today - please - stay safe out there - ride like they are out to get you - because looking at what I do every day - I think they are!
