Is Gaza City the toughest place to be a motorcyclist?

That is the question posed in an article from Visor Down

Begin Quote:
LAWMAKERS in Gaza have continued their draconian campaign against motorcycle usage, taking the bold step of banning the import of spare parts for motorcycles into the ancient Palestinian city.

Interior Ministry official Hassan Akashed has admitted that the move aims to directly reduce the number of motorcycles, which he claims are a main cause of car accidents. End Quote

If you are a woman, you can not ride pillion much less your own an you are not allowed to ride after midnight.

How would you like to live in a place where not only are car parts next to impossible to get because of the Israeli block on Gaza, but now you can't get motorcycle parts either?

I am thankful to live where I do. We may have work that needs to be done on our laws and law makers, but at least they aren't total dictators - yet!

So, how would you feel about living in a place like Gaza?
