The Chosen Soldier Program

Instead of presents for each other this Christmas, hubby and I have chosen a soldier.
I'm looking forward to getting his/her name. When we know - we'll share it with you all.

Please - if you can't go to a service - honor 2 minutes of silence and remember.
Because of the men & women in our Armed Forces - we in this country live in relative Peace compared to many other parts of the world.

What a road trip!

Well I finally made it back from the Edmonton & Red Deer swaps!
Edmonton had the best turn out I can remember for a Fall swap in a long time, Red Deer had the worst - thanks to mother nature!

After the blizzard I went to head home only to have a fuse blow that cut out my dash and tail lights - it would appear that I have a dead short attributed to mt command start!
Oh well, I made it.

There will be a crap load of pictures going up again soon and tons and tons of changes to the web site - those will be launching really soon so stay tuned!!!!!!

Terry Shannon passes away after motorcycle accident

It is with great sadness we inform you that Fort Saskatchewan Kinsmen President Terry Shannon passed away on the afternoon of October 18, 2006. 

Terry remained in hospital following a tragic motorcycle accident on October 2 & did not regain consciousness. This is a very difficult time for the family and we share their profound grief.

The Readers Survey

The survey you see will help the motorcycle community in the beginning of gathering statistics.
As you all know, everything the government does is statistic driven.

This survey has been in the printed form of the paper and will be available on the web site soon.

Speaking of the web site - it and the paper are going through some extensive upgrades and modifications.

Your patience and understanding through this next growth phase is - as always - hugely appreciated.

Our Buddy Carson Cole Stikes Again!

October 6, 2006Edmonton, Alberta Media ReleaseAlberta veteran singer/songwriter Carson Cole is scheduled to co-host Breakfast Television for CHUM TELEVISION on Tuesday, October 10/2006 from 6am to 10am. Carson will be involved in various interviews and segments during the show including interaction with noted television show personalities from the hit TV show, Kenny and Spenny. Carson Cole is set to start his Western Canada tour in Medicine Hat Alberta on October 28/2006. 

He will be performing for 6 weeks and then returning to studio to finish his new album, “Kickstart” before the end of the year. Following that, he will get back on the road for another 6 weeks while the album is being mastered and pressed.Carson Cole will be playing songs from his 2006 compilation album called, “Essentials” at his CD release party on October 30/2006 at Blues on Whyte.
