I have been getting a lot of requests to copy our run and event information.
You may add a link to our calendar but you may not copy it.
I work with and help everyone I can but the runs pages are my bread and butter.
I hope those who ask understand that I work long hard hours to amass the information that I do when it comes to the events pages. Over 400 people to contact every year, tons of phone calls and data entry and the events pages are what make our paper different from any other Canadian publication.
I hate saying no to people, but that has to be our policy, otherwise I wouldn't have a job.
Thanks for understanding, and have a great day.

Almost there!
Well, I am almost caught up.
The books are rebuilt and at the accountants for corrections. The Business and Rider member cards are finally done and the last ones hit the mail today!
This has been without a doubt, one the hardest periods of time I have spent, the reward?
I am more organized than ever before! Next, the phone book and the 800 or so addresses I have to clean up and the runs pages, getting them tweaked and tuned.
I am looking so forward to being able to get on my ride. Snow - ice, please melt.
Have a great day!

Who said technology makes life easier?
I ask that question as I am sitting here manually transferring all of the web links I have accumulated over 3 years into our new web sites because yah, the import/export function won't work since we did the upgrade.
So anyway, I am transferring over all of the Riding Group Web Links I have.
Please, if you know a club/chapter that has a Canadian members web site, please add it!
Oh yah, and if you know anyone who wants a job.... I thought not.

Membership cards etc....
Well gang, the last round of membership cards should hit the post office this afternoon or Thursday morning. At least everyone will have them for the riding season. I am so sorry this took so long to get cranking, but at last we are there!
Business member cards will also be going out in the mail!
If anyone has any problems with the renewal dates etc. just give me a call and we can fix it.
A couple more weeks and we should have all of the new info we have been working on up too.
We have links for over 300 Canadian Motorcycle Clubs/Chapters as soon as Ali can get the coding figured out we should have them visible for you and hopefully figure out what happened to our general links directory.
Have a great day and if you live in a part of the country where you can ride - I'm jealous - we still have at least three feet of snow! It sucks!

Urgent message from BCCOM
Don’t be fooled into thinking "This doesn’t apply to me!" MLA Lorne Mayencourt has put forth a private members bill to lower thedecibel level from 91 to 85. The bill can be found here:http://www.leg.bc.ca/38th3rd/1st_read/m203-1.htm Before you think it only applies to the "Loud Pipes Save Lives" advocates please be aware that many bikes including Hondas and Yamahas that are stock are failing the hand held decibel meter test in the City of Vancouver. At present in Canada motorcyclists are left to be subjected to a test that has no standard.
The Motorcycle Moped Industry Council is presently working on this. While BCCOM does not support illegal pipes, it also must protect the rights of motorcyclists from a bill that will only further escalate the problem with a flawed testing system. The issue here is enforcement of legislation that is already in place, use it!
The Coalition asks that you take the time to email your MLA to say you do not agree with this bill and to use the legislation already in place.
Please follow this link to find out who your MLA is:http://www.leg.bc.ca/mla/3-1-1.htm Adele Tompkins,Executive DirectorB.C. Coalition of Motorcyclists adele@bccom-bc.com 1-877-580-0111"Working for your Freedom to Ride"

This and that...
This has been a hectic week. I have a good portion of the subscriber and business cards going out in the mail today. I took a bunch of work with me to do at night and it has paid off.
I am happy to finally have my books done - there's still some error clean up to do but we are getting that done too.
I spoke to the Olds Chamber of Commerce yesterday and the feedback about the show was very positive. I just hope the negotiations over enhanced policing go that well.
I am going to be measuring things out at the Ag grounds to start my vendors layout.
We already have about 20 vendors registered and hope to get that layout up on the site in the next couple of weeks.
Looks like Biker TV will be sending an Alberta film crew to cover the show and Sid's Cycle show is also coming! I am hoping to hear from one more TV show....this is fabulous for our community!
Please read the alert about the missing girl, our members from the CAV sent it in. If you see this young girl, please let the authorities know.
Have a great day.
