Not sure what happened to me last night, I stood up to go into the house, got dizzy, felt like getting sick and the next thing I knew my husband was trying to get me up off of the floor. I landed hard too. Bruised a couple of ribs and my elbow. After feeling so great from that fabulous massage, this was not the way I expected my day to end. I'm going to be moving a little slowly for a few days.
I know that I am in the "News" business but I sure hate reading the news from the main stream media. It always seems to be filled with so much gloom and doom that I'd really rather not.
The media (in my mind) has played such a HUGE roll in creating this environment. Do they really realize the power they have? I think not.
What are your thoughts on the world economy and the main stream media's roll in it all?
Is it affecting you and if so - how is it affecting you? How do you feel about reading/watching the news these days?
I'd love to hear your thoughts on the subject...
Stay safe and warm.

Firstly..do take care of yourself...for your health comes first...You've certainly joined the ranks of the overworked, underpaid..time to take a break with your hubby and daughter a little R & R will go a long way in replenishing your batteries.
ReplyDeleteThe economy: well what a sore subject...just read about the number of personal bankruptcies rising by 50% in Canada and that's just the beginning...
Economists do not believe that pumping billions of $$$ in ailing economies will solve the problem...it will only prolong the agony of having to face reality some day.
The governments are caught between a rock and a hard place as they'd be damned if the did and damned if they don't...so given the circumstances they really have not much choice but to invest in infrastructure projects that could create employment and alleviate some of the torturous nightmares some people would otherwise be faced with.... The stimulus plans can, in my opinion, work if the money reaches the entities it was meant for..but in no way is it a long term solution... The only long term solutions is to allow for markets to adjust on their own based on supply and demand.
