<span class="s1">Cancer affects us all. We are fortunate in Alberta to have access to a world class facility for cancer treatment at the Tom Baker Cancer Centre in Calgary. Many patients and their families have spent days, weeks, months or more in this facility dealing with life changing illnesses. This can cause a financial burden on patients and their families for such things as travel, lodging, food and parking etc. patients should be focused on healing rather than finances.</span></div>

<span class="s1">Last year, the Patient Financial Assistance Program (PFAP) was accessed more than 3,863 times by over 835 families across Alberta, thanks to the support of folks like you. Based on Alberta's current economic climate, requests for PFAP have increased by 43 per cent from 2015/16 and we expect the demand will continue to grow. </span></div>
