Watchmen Crew and Noize for Toyz
Ride Like a Local met up with Barry Koenig a rider visiting from Blackfalds. He was out for the day to show his support for everyone. After the ride he was off to Prince George to visit family and tour the scenery.
He made sure to stop and thank Renee and Belt Drive Betty for all the hard work she does and the information provided for the riders.
We then met with Keith Barron, the marketing manager for Secure Energy in Grande Prairie AB. Secure Energy has sponsored many events within the riding community including Noize for Toyz and Toys for Tots. Secure Energy showed up at the poker rally sporting a shiny new barbecue!
Secure Energy works in the oil field taking care of solids, fluid control and waste disposal all over Alberta, Saskatchewan, British Columbia and North Dakota. Secure Energy has been around for about 15 years.
After a great ladies ride, Ride Like a Local spoke with Dani Chalifour, president of Noize for Toyz/Peace Country Noize for Toyz. Their organization focuses on making sure kids have what they need for Christmas as well as in the hospital. The ladies run held today collected money and toys for hospital programs, several food banks, and Odyssey House. Helping these and making sure their kids have what they need over the holidays is one less worry for them.
After the ride, the ladies end up at J.P. Outpost Fusion Grill & Bar. About 15-18 ladies go there after every ride as they are very supportive of the biking community. They have a great location, great parking, and a dance floor!!
If you are blessed enough to live where you can be riding today, please remember to ride like everyone around you is blind and can not see you.
