Air Miles Anyone?
Not enough air miles collected to go on that dream vacation? Wondering what to do with them? Consider donating them to help a teen go on their dream vacation.
WHAT / WHEN:
NAIT Fairview Campus is working with Renee Charbonneau, Coordinator of the Canadian Championship of Bike Building event, Wembley, Alberta this Labour Day weekend, September 2, 3 and 4, 2006.
WHO:
Seven students from the Bernice McHaughton High School Industrial Arts program in Moncton, New Brunswick re-connected with the excitement of learning through “The Bike Club” where they learn how to build “chopper” bicycles. While working hard on their project, they have been dreaming of attending the Bike show; meeting some of their heroes(like Tom Langton of Rumble Customs, Chica of Chica Customs and Heather Ireland of Biker TV) and of becoming motorcycle technicians at Canada’s #1 Motorcycle Technical Training Centre.
HOW:
By donating your air miles, you could help these teens achieve their dream. To find out more about the project, go to www.beltdrivebetty.com and click on the “Pedals to Pegs” link on the left hand side.
